Idexx launches new version of Idexx-PACS imaging software

Idexx has announced the launch of the latest version of its Idexx-PACS imaging software, which offers a number of usability and performance upgrades.

Version 4.0 of the software has been developed with user feedback in mind and provides an intuitive, user-friendly interface that replaces text with simple icons, while allowing to practices follow their normal workflow in a reduced number of steps.

It is touchscreen-enabled, allowing users to easily manipulate images with one hand. Technique settings are viewable within the software and automatically recorded in the practice's radiology log, while all images are automatically backed up and stored in the cloud.

Other improvements include a new system of organising profiles, improved search capabilities and a new favourites list.

Penny Guyton, general manager of Idexx Digital Imaging, said: "Our customers' feedback, combined with a deep understanding of animal diagnostics, has allowed us to bring to market imaging software that has a positive and meaningful impact on veterinary practices."

During the third quarter of 2014, the company experienced year-on-year growth of 14 percent, thanks to strong growth across all business segments and regions.
