Idexx receives 100,000th submission via Idexx VetConnect Plus

Idexx Laboratories has passed the 100,000 mark in laboratory submissions received via the Idexx VetConnect Plus service.

The free cloud-based system, which can be accessed from any online device, provides access to results from the company's extensive reference laboratory network, allowing users to check sample status, add additional tests, request a telephone consult or view results from Idexx's in-house instruments.

The landmark 100,000th sample was submitted by the Inglis Veterinary Hospital in Dunfermline, with Idexx territory manager Sandie Crawford visiting the team to present a commemorative plaque and speak to them about the most useful aspects of the service.

Team members cited the ability to check whether samples have arrived at the lab, add extra tests as and when they are required, and offer reassurance to pet owners, as well as praising its user-friendly design and fast operation.

Inglis vet Barbara Hulse said: "The rapid uploading of data to patient files helps with efficiency and makes for much more effective and meaningful communication with pet owners."
