Inmarsat appoints Instinctif in ‘six-figure deal’
Satellite operator Inmarsat has replaced Brunswick with Instinctif to lead its UK and European-based comms, in a deal reported to be worth six figures.
According to PRWeek, Brunswick won the contract a year ago, but Inmarsat has chosen to go with rival Instinctif in a new deal that will see it taking on the role of the global corporate agency.
Instinctif's team is headed by partner Jeremy Durran, as well as the two manager partners Damian Reece and David Simonson. These three members of staff will report to Inmarsat's external affairs and corporate team, headed by Chris McLaughlin, Jonathan Sinnatt and Katie Potts.
Inmarsat provides mobile satellite communications to two sectors – aviation and maritime industries. The firm works alongside governments from across the globe on both civil and military projects.
With over 22 offices across 13 countries, Instinctif is well placed to lead communications in Europe and in the UK. The firm is an expert in several sectors, including financial and corporate communications, public policy, audience engagement and life sciences.
Tim Fallon, managing partner and chief executive officer of capital markets and corporate affairs practice at Instinctif Partners, said: "As a business, our scale and reputation are growing. Attracting global clients such as Inmarsat is testimony to our strength in depth and breadth as a business communications consultancy and our interconnected approach to reputation management."
