Integrated DNA Technologies agrees RNA collaboration with Takara Bio USA
Integrated DNA Technologies has announced a new research collaboration with Takara Bio USA.
Designed to support targeted RNA sequencing, the alliance will leverage Integrated DNA Technologies' proficiency in the manufacture and quality control of long oligonucleotides and Takara Bio USA's expertise in developing low-input solutions for next-generation sequencing applications under the Clontech brand.
By facilitating the targeted sequencing of the transcriptome, the companies hope to provide scientists with more information than can be gained from looking at the genome alone, as well as informing the design of future probes and kits for low-input, targeted RNA-seq applications.
This capitalises RNA-seq's status as the most sensitive method for analysing the transcriptome currently available.
John Havens, vice-president of business development at Integrated DNA Technologies, said: "We are excited to partner with TBUSA to develop this product that will be of immense benefit to genomics research, helping scientists to resolve questions unanswered by genome sequencing."
This comes after Integrated DNA Technologies announced a new partnership with Sophia Genetics to create next-generation sequencing solutions earlier this year.
