inVentiv Health appoints former eBay staffer as president of advertising

inVentiv Health has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Wilks as its first president of advertising.

In this newly-created role, Mr Wilks will be tasked with supporting inVentiv's customers in making use of digital expertise from its many healthcare-focused marketing agencies, including Navicor, JSA, and Addison Whitney.

He joins the company from eBay, where he served as head of client services for the online auction firm's marketing division. In this post, he helped tailor technology-based marketing solutions for brands such as Toys 'R' Us, Wells Fargo and Sony.

The new recruit can boast more than three decades of experience managing brand and integrated marketing businesses for organisations including Johnson and Johnson, IBM, Dell, MasterCard and USA Today.

Mike Griffith, president of inVentiv's commercial business, said Mr Wilks "will infuse insights and operational excellence into our existing creative offerings and help each of our agencies become the preferred provider of imaginative, tech-savvy and globally customised advertising solutions".
