Invitrogen scoops awards

11th June 2008

Invitrogen has won six life science industry awards after being shortlisted as a finalist for a dozen.

The life science firm is the recipient of the Life Science Industry Awards’ Cell Biology and Reagents and Cell Culture Media and Reagents gong.

Winning more accolades than any other company, it also was awarded for having the most responsive customer service, knowledgeable technical support, useful website and memorable print advertisements.

Greg Lucier, chairman and chief executive of the firm, said the company’s success demonstrates its strategy of maintaining an innovative portfolio and differentiated services.

He added: "This is the fourth year in a row that customers have recognised Invitrogen as being one of the best companies in the life sciences industry."

The organisation recently received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for its DynaChip antibody analysis system, which it claims is the only automated chip-based system for the detection and identification of human leukocyte antigen.
