Ipsen names new primary care head

3rd March 2017

Ipsen has announced the appointment of Benoit Hennion as its new executive vice-president and president of its primary care division, effective as of March 13th.

Mr Hennion joined Ipsen in 2006 to take up a role within the corporate strategic planning team. In 2009, he became primary care business unit head for France, and subsequently general manager of French operations in 2011.

He has served as vice-president for Asia-Pacific specialty care since 2014 and has now been selected for this new role on the company's executive leadership team, succeeding the departing Jean Fabre.

Ms Fabre has led the primary bare business since 2011 and will step down from the position in March 2017 to pursue a new career opportunity at another company.

David Meek, chief executive officer of Ipsen, said Mr Hennion will "play a central role in the ongoing transformation of our global primary care operations into a sustainable business focused on meeting our patients' needs".
