Ivoclar-Vivadent announced availability of Monobond Plus

10th July 2009

Ivoclar-Vivadent has announced the availability of a single-component primer for indirect dental restorative materials.

Monobond Plus helps to ensure that a durable and strong bond to such materials is established through the combination of the three distinct functional groups, online industry information hub Dental Economics reports.

These are sulfide methacrylate, phosphoric methacrylate and silane methacrylate.

Due to the structure of Monobond Plus, dentists only require a single primer for restorative materials, the resource suggests, noting that these may include composites, zirconia, all-ceramic, metal-ceramic and metal.

In addition, there are no special storage requirements for the solution.

“Monobond Plus provides ease of use and a uniform reaction time for indirect restorative materials to help achieve reliable bonds when placing indirect restorations,” the site concludes.

Ivoclar-Vivadent has a history that dates back more than 80 years and claims to have one of the biggest research and development centres in the dental sector.
