Ivoclar Vivadent launches Classic V Powder Opaquer
Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the launch of its flexible new Classic V Powder Opaquer, which can be used for a number of different application techniques in the dental lab.
Designed for metal-ceramic layering, the powder opaquer was developed using a new production method and has been coordinated with fusible alloys, making it suitable for the masking of alloys in the CTE range of 13.8 to 15.2.
Offering reliable bonds with layering materials during the veneering procedure, the product can be applied either with a brush or by being sprayed on. Its homogeneous consistency results in frameworks with thin, smooth, colour-stable layers without bubbles or cracks.
This newest addition to the IPS Classic V metal-ceramic portfolio is suitable for use in casting, CAD/CAM and laser melting procedures.
A statement from Ivoclar Vivadent said: "Users benefit from its great flexibility in application techniques, as well as from a fast and efficient veneering process. These advantages are based on the very high application stability of the powder opaquer during application."
This comes after the firm last month introduced its new SR Nexco Flask, for use in pressing light-curing veneering composites on to dental frameworks.
