Ivoclar Vivadent launches new IPS e.max Ceram materials
Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the launch of newly developed IPS e.max Ceram dentin and incisal materials that allow translucent substructures to be given the desired level of brightness.
The new materials have been designed to account for the fact that translucent substructures are less capable of reflecting light than are opaque ones. The Power Dentin and Power Incisal materials are able to compensate for the drop in light reflection seen in translucent frameworks.
Ivoclar Vivadent's especially shaded materials are particularly suited for cases that require a heightened level of brightness.
Additionally, the firm has extended the range of Gingiva colours to include the new layering materials IPS e.max Ceram Gingiva BG 34 and IPS e.max Ceram Intensive Gingiva IG 5.
The company said: "The desired brightness can be achieved without having to modify the customary layering scheme. Impressive esthetic results are achieved due to the lifelike light scattering effect provided by these materials."
Its IPS e.max CAD assortment has also been expanded, with new medium-translucency MT blocks suitable for patients that require enhanced brightness.
