Ivoclar Vivadent to launch compact new Bluephase curing light

13th September 2011

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the launch of a compact new version of its Bluephase curing light for use in dental restoration procedures.

The new Bluephase Style offering will be introduced in October 2011 and is an ergonomic battery-operated LED polymerisation light, to be held in the manner of a pen or pistol.

It is fitted with a polywave LED developed specifically by the company to provide curing for all photoinitiators and materials, while its large diameter means that it can completely cover large cavities, eliminating the need for multiple curing cycles.

Meanwhile, its compact size means it can be easily held without strain, while its shortened light probe tip allows curing in hard-to-reach posterior areas to be conducted without patients needing to keep their mouths wide open.

Other benefits of Bluephase Style include its Click and Cure function, which allows for an easy changeover from battery to mains operation.

Ivoclar Vivadent's existing Bluephase device has won industry acclaim, with the unit earning an honourable mention at the red dot design awards in 2008.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800727872-ADNFCR
