Japan-Based Omron Procures Luscii Healthtech
Omron, a MedTech organisation based in Japan, has procured Luscii Healthtech, a digital health platform provider.
The procurement grants Omron access to Luscii’s remote patient monitor, which enables healthcare providers to better manage chronic conditions, post-acute care, and preventive healthcare and can monitor over 150 illnesses.
Luscii’s virtual monitoring tool led to significant reductions: just under 80% fewer ultrasound exams for individuals with gestational hypertension, and more than 50% lower costs for individuals diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Luscii Healthcare has also enhanced its presence in the European market sector, with a focus on public medical organisations.
The senior manager at Omron Healthcare, Andre van Gils, commented, “Omron Healthcare is committed to developing life-saving cardiovascular health technologies in pursuit of our Going for Zero vision.”
Gils went on to add, “As part of our long-term vision, we commit to expanding the business to digital health services; this acquisition is another significant contribution to that objective, and we will continue to advance digital healthcare and work together to save lives.”
