Johnson and Johnson company announces pheromone collaboration
Human Pheromone Sciences has signed a collaboration agreement with Personal Products Company (PPC) – a division of McNeil-PPC, which is itself part of Johnson and Johnson.
The agreement will see PPC be granted a license to certain HPS patents in return for a cash payment and any royalties that are generated in the future.
HPS also produces a range of ‘environmental products’ under the Natural Attraction, REALM, InnerREALM and EROX brands.
Commenting on the deal, a spokesperson for HPS said: “We are looking forward to working with PPC as they look to expand the use of the company’s patented technology.”
As part of the agreement, HPC will however retain exclusive rights for some product areas and co-exclusive rights for a variety of product sectors.
Johnson and Johnson states that PPC is a “leader” in the oral health market and is also involved in the women’s health sector. Its products include MONISTAT, CAREFREE and STAYFREE.
