Lab21 named among fastest-growing technology companies

Lab21 has been named among the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in Europe in a new report from Deloitte.

The analyst has included the life science company at 317th place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2011, based on its 527 percent growth rate over the last five years.

David Halstead, partner in charge of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA programme, said the accomplishment was "commendable" given the extremely competitive nature of the market at present.

According to Lab21, chief executive officer Graham Mullis, the strong organic growth of the company's products and services divisions, as well as its good quality acquisitions and integrations, have been vital in delivering this strong performance.

He said this is a "great achievement and demonstrates how hard the company and its employees have worked".

This comes after the firm was also recently presented with the BioNow Biomedical Project of the Year Award for its MycAssay product line.
