Latest X-ray inspection system from Thermo Scientific

The Thermo Scientific Xpert Heavy Duty system is the latest X-ray inspection system from the company and delivers 900W of X-ray power, the highest available, whilst many other systems operate at 100-200W. It is designed to help food manufacturers to easily detect a wide range of physical contaminants in large cases, trays, bags, packages and dense, heavy products like cheese blocks, and as such has a large aperture width and height, and an enhanced mechanical design to stand up to daily washdown and a water-cooled ceramic X-ray tube for long life. The system also includes three inspection widths, external water chiller for cooling the X-ray tube, and the same easy-to-use software available on all Thermo Scientific Xpert conveyor models.
The Xpert HD is designed for customers that must migrate to X-ray inspection for better performance compared to large aperture metal detectors or to satisfy a customer mandate to upgrade to X-ray inspection, and to support the highest level of food safety and brand protection.
