Leo Pharma expresses satisfaction with 2010 growth
Leo Pharma has published its financial statement for the 2010 fiscal year, expressing satisfaction with its double-digit growth during the period.
The pharmaceutical company was able to meet all of its business targets during the 12 months, with group sales rising by 20 percent year-on-year to a reach a record total of 7.5 billion Danish kroner (886.18 million pounds).
Improved performances were noted in all major international territories, while the firm's strategic focus on dermatology led to strong sales for products such as Daivobet, Xamiol and innohep.
Over the next year, Leo Pharma will focus on more research and acquisitions in the dermatology field and will also be assessing the possibility of establishing affiliates in new regions.
Gitte Aabo, president and chief executive officer of Leo Pharma, said: "It has been gratifying to see that we have succeeded in moving focus from consolidation and optimisation to focus on growth and expansion with the object of securing Leo Pharma's long-term success."
Earlier this year, the company launched new online applications for its Irish clients that are designed to help psoriasis patients manage their conditions.
