Leo Pharma hires new dermatology director for UK and Ireland

Leo Pharma has announced the appointment of Michael Hinchy as the new dermatology director of its UK and Ireland affiliate.

Mr Hinchy can boast more than 16 years of industry experience, having won awards for his work in leadership roles for Janssen and Johnson and Johnson. He has a proven track record in developing sales and marketing groups and cross-functional teams in challenging environments.

His history of strong work both internationally and domestically in the ethical healthcare and consumer skincare sectors will make him a great asset to the dermatology-focused Leo Pharma.

As part of the firm's leadership team, he will be tasked with helping to bring new solutions and business models to fruition in a way that ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Geraldine Murphy, managing director of Leo Pharma in the UK and Ireland, said: "I am confident that his style of leadership and clear passion for dermatology, together with his extensive experience across several different therapy areas, will prove to be invaluable to our team."

This comes after the firm appointed Svend Andersen as its new executive vice-president and European head in January.
