Liberation Unlimited hires senior account director and account coordinator

Liberation Unlimited has made two new appointments as it seeks to drive forward the continued growth of the agency.

Danielle Smith has been promoted from account director to senior account director, reflecting the work she has done since joining Liberation Unlimited from Athena Medical PR in 2010, reports PMLiVE.

She has worked on accounts spanning a range of clinical areas, including cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology and women's health.

Meanwhile, recent graduate Lizzie Mannix-Pole – who recently earned a BSc in cellular and molecular medicine – has been hired by the agency as an account coordinator.

She specialises in cancer mechanisms, developmental genetics, embryonal cancers, medical virology and regenerative medicine.

Kim Lemon, head of Liberation Unlimited, described Ms Smith as "a leadership figure providing valuable advice and counsel", while saying Ms Mannix-Pole represents "a perfect fit for our client portfolio".

This comes after the firm hired Amy Morgan as a new account manager last month, a role that will see her work on its social and digital offerings in the medical education and PR fields.
