Liberation Unlimited hires senior account director

Liberation Unlimited has announced the appointment of Hayley Jayawardene as senior account director as it seeks to further strengthen its team.

In her new role at the agency, she will be tasked with working on high-profile medical education and PR programmes focusing on respiratory, ophthalmology and corporate communications, reports PMLiVE.

She joins after freelancing in-house at Pfizer and at medical education agency Real Science, while prior to this she spent five years at Porter Novelli, leading its UK respiratory account for Boehringer Ingelheim.

Ms Jayawardene expressed excitement about the prospect of joining Liberation Unlimited at a time when the agency is experiencing strong growth.

This follows the appointment of Vicky Smith to senior account executive earlier this year.
