Lilly launches cancer trial mobile app
Lilly has introduced a new mobile application that allows healthcare professionals to search oncology trials that are currently enrolling new patients.
The Clinical Trial Resource app is available for Apple, BlackBerry and Android devices and lets users search for trials by categories such as disease state, target molecule, study phase or location.
It offers details on all cancer trials taking place worldwide and provides a function that allows medical experts to contact Lilly or relevant third parties for further details on the studies.
This coincides with the introduction of a new website entitled LillyOncologyPipeline.com, which includes directions for downloading the app, as well as information on developmental Lilly compounds.
Anne White, senior director of portfolio management at Lilly Oncology, said: "Lilly Oncology created the Clinical Trial Resource mobile app to offer cancer care professionals an easy way to search for and identify details about all global oncology clinical trials – not just those sponsored by Lilly."
Last week, the company announced positive data from a phase III study of Alimta, its new treatment for advanced nonsquamous non-small cell lung cancer.
