Lilly to report psoriasis drug data at World Congress Of Dermatology
Lilly will be sharing its latest psoriasis drug research findings at the World Congress Of Dermatology in Vancouver from June 8th to 13th 2015.
A total of nine presentations, including seven oral presentations, will report results from the UNCOVER-1, 2 and 3 clinical studies investigating ixekizumab for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis, as well as a separate patient survey.
The phase III data from the UNCOVER studies will include efficacy and safety results comparing ixekizumab to etanercept and placebo, in addition to findings on quality-of-life improvements observed in patients treated with ixekizumab.
Meanwhile, the patient survey data will examine the impact psoriasis symptoms have on touch avoidance and quality of life.
David Ricks, Lilly's senior vice-president and president of Lilly Bio-Medicines, said: "We look forward to sharing detailed data about the efficacy and safety of ixekizumab, further demonstrating why we believe this investigational therapy, if approved, has the potential to help treat this challenging disease."
The company hopes to secure regulatory approval for the drug on the back of these positive clinical trial findings.
