Link Technologies establishes scientific advisory board

19th January 2015

Link Technologies has announced the establishment of a scientific advisory board to help guide its future product development efforts.

A team of scientific experts will be recruited to help identify and prioritise the development of new nucleic acid reagents that could deliver advances in the field of novel oligonucleotide therapeutics and diagnostics, as well as supporting the management team in identifying other markets where the firm's chemistry expertise could be beneficial.

Dr Brian Sproat, the current managing director of Chemconsilium, and Dr Thomas Rupp of Thomas Rupp Consulting have been named as the first two members of the board. Both have around three decades of experience in the oligonucleotide market.

The pair have extensive experience in both the academic and commercial oligonucleotide sectors, including many successful collaborations with Link.

Dr Catherine McKeen, head of technology commercialisation at Link Technologies, said: "We are delighted to have appointed two such highly respected and experienced thought leaders in the nucleic acid field, who will now directly help shape our future product development."

This comes after the company appointed Dr David Ricketts as its new chief executive officer in October last year, following the retirement of Dr John Bremner.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801770864-ADNFCR
