Link Technologies names new non-executive director
Link Technologies has announced the appointment of Dr Marc Lemaitre to its board as a non-executive director.
The former chief executive officer of Girindus America, Dr Lemaitre has been working in the field of nucleic acids for more than 25 years, holding senior positions at various high-profile contract manufacturing organisations, pharmaceutical firms and biotech companies.
He oversaw the implementation of in vitro diagnostic oligo production at Eurogentec during his 13 years at the company, before moving on to work at Glen Research prior to heading up Girindus America from 2009 onwards.
Dr David Ricketts, chief executive officer of Link, said: "His vast experience in our industry, particularly in the largest market of oligonucleotide reagents, will be invaluable as we continue to build our company's presence in the nucleic acids arena."
This comes after the company established a new scientific advisory board last month to help guide its future product development efforts in this crucial field.
Dr Brian Sproat, the current managing director of Chemconsilium, and Dr Thomas Rupp of Thomas Rupp Consulting were named as the first two members of the board.
