Linnaeus launches initiative to tackle mental health
The Linnaeus group have launched an initiative to tackle suicide within the veterinary profession.
In a bid to proactively deal with mental health problems within veterinary, the group have trained nearly 100 volunteered staff as mental health first aiders.
“The wellbeing of our people is at the forefront of our strategy” said Linnaeus’ people and culture director Michelle O’Connor. “We have demonstrated our commitment to our people by training volunteers in becoming a mental health first aider for the group. “
Taken from both office and clinical role, volunteered staff have attended a training course run by Mental Health First Aid England, and have acquired skills to support their own and others wellbeing.
