Lonza demonstrates new stem cell products at ISSCR 2014

24th June 2014

Lonza has demonstrated its new offerings to simplify and improve consistency within stem cell research at the annual meeting of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR).

The company attended the event in Vancouver last week, where it presented its new L7 hiPSC Reprogramming and hPSC Culture System for basic stem-cell research, disease modeling, drug development and regenerative medicine.

Designed to support the generation of reproducible, clinically relevant data for use in efficient drug development and accelerated progress in regenerative medicine, the system includes various tools to simplify and streamline the stem cell culturing and reprogramming workflow.

It comprises of seven key components – primary cells and Nucleofector technology, plus hPSC reprogramming kits, media, matrices, passaging solutions and cryosolutions.

The company said: "The culture system allows for every other day feeding and supports long-term culture and maintenance of hPSCs. The L7 System thus provides a seamless transition from the lab bench to clinical development applications."

It comes after Lonza announced earlier this month that it will be expanding its operational capabilities by making technology and facility improvements to its antibody drug conjugate clinical manufacturing facility in Visp, Switzerland.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801730655-ADNFCR
