Lupin appoints new EU president and inhalation strategy head

Lupin has announced the appointment of industry veteran Dr Maurice Chagnaud as its new European president and head of inhalation strategy.

He will assume full responsibility for the firm's European business, including its strategy for generics and specialty products, while also developing its core strategy for inhalation in developed markets.

Dr Chagnaud joins the company from Israeli drug company Teva, where he served as senior vice-president for central and eastern Europe.

Lupin has appointed Dr Chagnaud to this role as it seeks to replicate its recent success in other advanced markets – such as the US and Japan – in EU territories.

The organisation is headquartered in Mumbai and ranks among the top five India-based pharmaceutical companies by size and revenue.
