Luther Pendragon appoints former Ketchum boss as director

Luther Pendragon has announced the appointment of Avril Lee as a new director, a move that will aid its efforts to strengthen its healthcare offering.

Ms Lee, the former UK chief executive officer of Ketchum, has been chosen for the newly-created role in order to work alongside Luther Pendragon's managing director Simon Whale in overseeing the agency's health clients.

She has been acting as an independent consultant since leaving Ketchum earlier this year and can boast more than two decades of relevant experience.

According to Ms Lee, the decision to join Luther Pendragon was motivated by the ambitious growth plans the agency has demonstrated.

Mr Whale told PRWeek: "We have grown our healthcare client base significantly in recent times and we want this to continue. Avril's considerable health experience will help us do that."

Luther Pendragon has experience working with a wide variety of healthcare sector clients, including AbbVie, CareFusion, the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.
