Marketing Approval Issued Towards LEO for New Eczema Cream
People with average to serious, persistent hand eczema will be able to receive this therapy option.
Delgocitinib cream’s marketing approval request has been accepted, according to a statement from LEO Pharma.
The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use of the EMA has begun an official evaluation procedure.
The cream prevents the interaction of proteins and cells in the skin. Skin barrier issues, irritation of the skin, and changes to the skin are the typical characteristics of the condition.
There are currently no authorised therapies for eczema that are both effective in the short term as well as successful at managing the condition in the long term.
CEO at Leo Pharma, Kreesten Meldgaard Madsen stated, “We are delighted that delgocitinib cream has entered this first stage of the European regulatory process. If approved, it will be the first topical treatment specifically indicated and developed for moderate to severe CHE.”
