Marketing Technology Association launched by industry leaders

1st June 2015

A new industry body called the Marketing Technology Association (MTA) has been launched by a group of experienced industry professionals.

Launched in response to the increasing convergence of marketing and technology in the UK, the MTA will hold regular events to give experts a platform to debate and solve the challenges posed by today's digital landscape.

MTA founders include current and former employees of organisations such as Rye Social, Bauer Media, the BBC, Sony, eBay, Hotpoint, Shine Communications and British Gas, as well as musician Martyn Ware of The Human League and Heaven 17.

According to the MTA, the reason for the association's launch is to address the fact that although marketing and technology have become inextricably intertwined, many organisational structures have yet to catch up to this reality.

A statement from the organisation said: "The MTA's purpose is to help bridge the gap between the two and provide greater understanding of the unique set of skills required to innovate and have a competitive advantage."ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801789500-ADNFCR
