Martindale Pharma relaunches Simple Eye Ointment BP

Martindale has announced the reintroduction of its over-the-counter ocular lubrication product Simple Eye Ointment BP.

The treatment provides protection from irritation for the eyes and is being brought back to market ahead of the peak season for dry eyes in the summer, reports Chemist and Druggist.

Explaining the decision, a spokesperson for the company stated that it has seen "continued demand" for the product from pharmacy retailers.

It also stated that the relaunch ties in with its ongoing commitment to developing its range of ophthalmic offerings.

"Martindale Pharma is committed to ensuring our customers have a wide range of ophthalmic products to meet their own customer needs," said the representative.

The specialty pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply company is based in Essex and has a corporate history tracing back for more than a century.

It offers generic products such as ear drops, nasal sprays, suppositories and oral pain relief treatments in addition to its ophthalmic ointments and drops.
