Mast announces attendance plans for Medica 2012

Mast has announced that it will be attending the forthcoming Medica 2012 industry conference in Dusseldorf, where it will showcase a number of its newest innovations.

During the show, the life science firm will be demonstrating Mast Isoplex VTEC, the first of a new range of laboratory molecular tests for use in the rapid detection and confirmation of verotoxin-producing E. coli.

It will also be discussing its flagship Mast Uri System, which is designed to streamline urine microbiology to allow laboratories to meet efficiency targets and has received a positive industry reception thus far.

Representatives from the company's UK division Mast International will be joined by staff from the German Mast Diagnostica and French Mast Diagnostic units to present its extensive portfolio of in vitro diagnostic products.

Around 4,300 exhibitors are expected to attend the congress, which will span 17 exhibition halls and is set to be the world's largest event for the medical sector in more than four decades.

The company has also confirmed its attendance at Microbe 2012, which will take place in Sheffield later this month.
