Mast outlines plans for Microbe 2012

28th August 2012

Mast has announced that it will be attending the forthcoming Microbe 2012 life science industry conference in Sheffield, where it will showcase a number of its newest products.

The company will be attending the event at the Hilton Hotel this September and will organise several scientific and social activities based around 'Microbe TV', the event's theme for 2012.

Among the highlights of the show will be a preview of Mast Isoplex VTEC, a loop-mediated isothermal amplification test for use in the rapid detection and confirmation of verotoxin-producing E. coli.

This new product is designed as a means of enhancing outbreak monitoring and will be presented to UK industry professionals for the first time at Microbe 2012.

Also on display will be the Mast Uri system, the company's urine sample analysis device, which allows differentiation of positive and negative samples, generation of antibiotic susceptibility results and organism identification to be performed within 24 hours.

The system was a key area of focus when Mast attended the WMA 2012 trade show earlier this year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801437257-ADNFCR
