Mast to attend Scottish Microbiology Association conference
Mast has confirmed its attendance at the upcoming Scottish Microbiology Association (SMA) conference in Dundee, where it will be demonstrating its newest products.
The company will be taking the opportunity to showcase the benefits of Mast Isoplex VTEC, a system that uses loop-mediated isothermal amplification for the rapid detection of verotoxin-producing E. coli direct from faecal samples.
Attendees will be able to see how the device can provide easy-to-read results within one hour, including sample preparation time, thus eliminating the need for dedicated equipment.
This year's SMA event will take place on November 2nd and 3rd and will focus on the theme of emerging pathogens, specifically in terms of novel diagnostics and evolving therapy approaches.
Presentations on various relevant topics will take place, while the conference will also mark the 20th anniversary of the SMA.
Mast will also be attending the Medica 2012 conference in Dusseldorf next month, while last month the company had a presence at the Microbe 2012 show in Sheffield.
