M&C Saatchi wins Public Health England brief
M&C Saatchi and Freuds have been handed a new two-year consumer engagement contract by the government agency Public Health England.
The work includes PR on Public Health England's key social marketing themes, dubbed Starting Well, Living Well and Ageing Well. Individual campaigns within its scope include Change4Life, Smokefree and Be Clear on Cancer, reports PRWeek.
Public Health England launched a pitching process following a review of its current contract with Freuds, which ends in December 2014. Freuds was unable to repitch alone, but was able to partner with non-roster agencies according to the terms of the process.
As such, M&C Saatchi engaged Freuds as its sub-contractor, with the former leading on the pitch. Following the win, the contract is let with M&C Saatchi, while Freuds will lead on the delivery of the brief.
The new contract is for two years with an option for a further renewal of one year.
M&C Saatchi has experience of working with Public Health England, having helped the organisation to launch some of last year's Change4Life campaigns.
