Merck introduces filtration and single-use processing products for Emprove

Merck has expanded its industry-leading Emprove risk assessment programme new filtration and single-use processing offerings.

The programme now includes Millipore Express filters, Pureflex and Pureflex Plus bags, Viresolve Pro filtration devices and Durapore filters, as well as instant access to online regulatory and technical information on a wide range of products, including these ones.

Emprove provides documentation and regulatory information on materials used in the manufacture of drug products to enhance transparency, facilitate risk assessment and guarantee product quality.

It allows manufacturers to download dossiers on material qualification, quality management and operational excellence from one location, instead of contacting multiple parties for the data.

Udit Batra, member of the Merck executive board and chief executive officer for life sciences, said: "The expansion of our Emprove programme helps ensure our customers are using only the highest quality products for their manufacturing processes."

Emprove originally included more than 400 raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients used in manufacturing drug products, but this has been gradually expanded since its introduction.
