Merck Millipore appoints biopharmaceutical process solutions head

Merck Millipore has named Vincent Donovan as head of biopharmaceutical process solutions, effective as of the beginning of this month.

Mr Donovan originally joined the former Millipore corporation in 1988 and has occupied a number of important roles, including bioprocess division senior director for North American field operations and director of sales for the biopharmaceutical division.

The company has appointed him to this key position as it seeks to continue reinforcing its status as a prominent partner for bringing customers' molecules to market.

He will bring a global perspective and extensive industry experience to the role, having worked with clients across a wide range of fields, including product development and manufacturing.

Andrew Bulpin, executive vice-president of process solutions at Merck Millipore, said: "I look forward to working closely with Vin to expand and reinforce Merck Millipore's leadership in the biopharmaceutical field."

In May 2012, the company was presented with a red dot product design award for its Muse Cell Analyser product, which recently made its market debut.
