Merial Animal Health names Ware Anthony Rust as retained PR agency

Merial Animal Health has announced the appointment of Ware Anthony Rust as its retained PR agency in the UK and Ireland.

Online resource PR Week notes that the move followed a “competitive” pitching process and will now mean that Ware Anthony Rust will be involved in all of the promotional activities for Merial’s livestock products – including the bluetongue vaccine BTVPUR AlSap 8.

Additionally, Ware Anthony Rust will develop a range of other PR support initiatives for Merial, which has a global total market share of more than 14 per cent.

This will follow previous collaboration between the organisations, as the agency has previously provided Merial with PR support for its pig therapy Circovac – which online resource the Pig Site notes is an inactivated vaccine against Porcine Circovirus type 2.

Other Ware Anthony Rust clients include the Agricultural Industries Confederation, Dow AgroSciences, the East of England Development Agency and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.
