Merial honoured for customer focus at 2011 BESMA ceremony
Merial has hailed its strong performance at the annual British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards (BESMA), which took place at the end of last month.
The animal health company saw John Schofield, who is employed by its large animal business in the north-west of England, win the title of sales professional of the year among companies with more than 50 employees.
It comes after Merial's success at the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management-backed awards event in 2009, during which its territory managers took the top three places in the competition.
Andrew Buglass, national sales manager for Merial's large animal business, said this was testament to Mr Schofield's questioning and listening skills and professional approach.
He added: "The fact that Merial Animal Health has been so successful in this competition in recent years is testimony to the investment that we make in training."
Last month, the company formally announced the launch of a piglet indication of its swine vaccine product Circovac at an event in Malta.
