Metia hires new managing director ahead of diversification
Metia has announced the appointment of Mark Pinsent as the new managing director of its London office.
Mr Pinsent joined the agency 18 months ago and previously served as its social and content lead. He will now report to group chief executive and founder Steve Ellis, overseeing a team of about 60 people in the capital.
This appointment comes at a time when the agency is seeking to diversify its offering, with plans to expand into other business-to-business sectors beyond its traditional focus on the technology market, reports PRWeek.
Founded 26 years ago, Metia has worked with a wide range of high-profile clients, including the likes of Microsoft, EA, Dell, the AA, the British Chambers of Commerce and Amazon.
According to Mr Pinsent, PR will always be a part of its offering and its focus on the business-to-business world will remain, but it wishes to reach out to a wider client base, whether this be through working with financially-related or consultancy businesses, or helping professional services firms market themselves more effectively.
He explained: "It's about getting more of our client base using more of our services, and bringing more clients in."
