Mettler-Toledo to exhibit at Pack Expo
Mettler-Toledo is to exhibit its metal detection and x-ray inspection equipment at the Pack Expo 2007 in Las Vegas in October, the company has revealed.
The brands, manufactured by Mettler-Toledo’s Safeline subsidiary, are designed to identify and reject contaminated samples, the firm states.
PowerPhase, PowerPhase Plus and Certus metal detectors produced by Safeline are able to identify ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel contaminants.
While Certus is described by the company as a cost-effective solution for dry environments, the PowerPhase line is also functional in wet or "wash-down" installations.
Meanwhile, the AdvanChek, PowerChekPlus and SideChek x-ray inspection units detect contaminants such as metal, stone, bone, glass and dense plastics.
The newest of the three, AdvanChek, uses a low-energy source and is said by Mettler-Toledo to be unparalleled in terms of simplicity and sensitivity.
Mettler-Toledo’s educational series recently noted that pre-rinsing pipettes can lead to inaccurate experimental results for solutions at a temperature outside of the range zero to 37 degrees C.
