Mettler-Toledo weigh modules ‘accurate and repeatable’

Mettler-Toledo has released an "accurate and repeatable" range of weighing modules, the company reveals.

The SWS310 tension weigh modules with SLS410 load cell allow for suspended hoppers to be converted into scales, according to the manufacturer.

Meanwhile, they may also be used to convert existing mechanical scales to work electronically.

"They adapt to any suspended hopper or vessel to provide accurate weighing," explains Mettler-Toledo.

"Each weigh module is equipped with a pair of clevis and rod assemblies that are designed to measure only vertical loads and restrain the vessel from moving."

The hardware is manufactured of zinc carbon-plated steel for added strength when supporting a vessel.

And the load cells are nickel-plated with teflon-lined bearings and nylon washers to reduce the risk of damage due to electrical shorts.

The firm previously added scales with large displays to its line-up in order to make the read-out easier to analyse.

Each model could also be given a target weight and report whether the load was over or under the desired mass.
