Millipore launches chromatography devices
Millipore has launched a new range of devices for ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC) preparation.
The series of filters, membranes and ultra-pure water delivery systems has been designed to provide for the high level of clarity required of fluids for use in UHPLC.
"New UHPLC methods provide higher resolution than traditional HPLC methods," the company explains.
"In order to take full advantage of this superior resolution, it has become increasingly important that samples, mobile phases and buffers are properly prepared."
The filters and membranes included within the range minimise column clogging, while having low binding and hold-up volumes to optimise the preparation of samples.
Furthermore, the Milli-Q water system may have up to three dispensing units attached to it in order to provide pure water at multiple points within the laboratory.
Millipore recently expanded its agreement with Novo Nordisk to supply recombinant human insulin to the biopharmaceutical market for use in the manufacture of drugs.
