Millipore launches new filter

Millipore has expanded its range of 33mm Sterile Millex syringe filters.

The life science provider of tools and services for bioscience research and biopharmaceutical manufacturing claims the collection now boasts the fastest filters on the market.

According to the firm, the product comes with its Express Plus membrane and is available in 0.22 and 0.45 micrometre sizes.

It states the filters have 20 per cent more surface area than standard 25mm devices and offer a high process volume of 200ml and a greater burst strength of 150 psig.

"The integrated Millipore offers more innovative technologies and stronger application support to streamline processes and provide consistently reliable results," the company said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the organisation recently launched its new OxyELISA oxidised protein quantitation kit.

It claims the product offers high throughput detection and improves specificity in a shorter time.

The firm recently named stem cell researcher Dr Sangeeta Bhatia as the first recipient of its Millpore Seed Grant Fellowship.
