Millipore launches Tyrosine Kinases with BioForm technology

18th December 2007

Millipore has introduced its Tyrosine Kinases with BioForm technology.

According to the life sciences company, the pairing of the technology with select Millipore Tyrosine Kinases provides a better, more biologically relevant environment for cell signalling research and discovery efforts.

BioForm technology enables the assembly of histidine-tagged proteins in an environment which replicates that created by a cell membrane.

Millipore stated that this template restores the organising features of the membrane without the difficulties of membrane preparation and reconstruction procedures.

It added that the technology is adaptable to high throughput assay format and is applicable to many signalling systems.

"Millipore’s Tyrosine Kinases with BioForm technology can be used in many key stages of drug discovery research, including early stage drug screening, signal transduction and regulation of enzymatic activity," the company continued.

Millipore provides multi-disciplinary scientific expertise and a portfolio of leading edge technologies, tools and services for bioscience research.
