Millipore has opened a new cutting-edge applications and training facility, the company has announced.
The firm’s new Biomanufacturing Sciences and Training Centre measures a total of 8,000 sq ft and will provide a range of services, including technical and support, to customers.
Martin Madaus, president and chief executive officer of Millipore, said the new facility will enhance the support already provided by the company.
He added: "Millipore’s service and support philosophy is to offer top notch expertise and high level support worldwide."
Brian Yau, vice-president of Millipore Asia-Bioprocess Division, stated Millipore has been training people for more than 50 years, explaining the firm believes education is "key" when it comes to being successful.
Earlier this month, the firm announced its fourth-quarter and full-year results for 2008.
It announced revenues of $396.8 million (278.45 million pounds) for the fourth quarter of the year, a drop of two per cent compared to the same period in 2007.
