Millipore unveils bench top TFF system for process development

Millipore has unveiled it Cogent µScale Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) system at the recent INTERPHEX 2008 conference.

The system, which can be utilised for both process development and low volume sample preparation, is a semi-automated bench top solution designed specifically to fully support TFF processes development.

According to the company, it offers a number of benefits to researchers including, a versatile style performance, ease of use, user-configurable alarm set points and automated data acquisition to enable greater productivity and feed pressures of up to 80 psig.

"In combination with Millipore’s industry leading Pellicon Three TFF cassette technology, the Cogent µScale TFF System will enhance the productivity of process developers and research scientists alike," it concluded.

In related news, Millipore recently announced that it has redesigned its Nylon Net Steriflip filter unit to be more streamline and aid faster separation of large volumes of cellular material – improving recovery time.
