Moderna reveals its new vaccine that is nearly 95% effective against COVID-19
Following the positive news from Pfizer last week, Moderna has recently announced its new vaccine that protects against COVID-19 and is almost ninety-five per cent effective.
Moderna’s trial, which consisted of thirty-thousand participants in the US, provided dummy injections to fifty per cent of participants. In comparison, the remaining fifty per cent were provided with two doses of the vaccine, one month apart.
The analysis was based on the first ninety-five to develop COVID-19 symptoms.
Only five of the COVID cases were in people provided with the vaccine, in comparison to ninety who were administered with the dummy injection.
Moreover, the data shows that eleven cases of extreme COVID existed, but none occurred in people who were immunised.
