Molnlycke launches Ultimate Barrier surgical gown

Molnlycke has launched an advanced new surgical gown that combines a high level of protection with optimum comfort.

The new Ultimate gown is part of the Barrier product range and has been designed using a soft SMS material, which has been shown to be highly repellent and durable while also offering breathability.

According to Molnlycke, the soft and comfortable nature of the gown means that clinicians no longer need to compromise between practical and ergonomic concerns.

The manufacturer also highlighted data from customer preference studies which show that 92 percent of participants preferred Ultimate to their current surgical gown.

Lisa Reck, category director for the surgical division at Molnlycke, said: "We strive to deliver quality products that meet the diverse needs of surgical teams whilst ensuring cost-efficiency for hospitals."

Earlier this month, the firm announced that it has made donations of various products, including 136,000 medical masks, to aid relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Japan.
