MPs Emphasize Need for Immediate Help in Dental Industry

MPS’s have asked for more assistance for dentists and NHS dental care, with a large number prompting for immediate action.

Suggestions for a range of significant improvements were outlined, such as: secure long-term financing, focus on dental recruitment and retention, finishing the NHS’s new contract, focus on the importance of water fluoridation, more accountability, and a stronger voice for the industry.

Another priority is expanding potential for international dentists, especially from Commonwealth nations.

The UK administration has revealed discussions will be held regarding the rules governing dental professionals with credentials earned externally. There have been significant issues regarding capacity with the ORE (Overseas Registration Exam), as well as the end of the current acknowledgement of EU credentials.
