MSD Animal Health allies with WeForest on reforestation initiative

MSD Animal Health has announced a new tree-planting environmental initiative with the international not-for-profit association WeForest.

Through this partnership, MSD Animal Health will plant more than 8,000 trees this year in areas where they are most needed, with further work planned alongside WeForest to plant more trees in years to come.

This underlines the company's ongoing commitment to sustainable causes, as exemplified by its Sphereon vaccine formulation technology, which is used in the storage and preparation of live poultry vaccines.

Sphereon is used to freeze-dry live vaccines to small, highly soluble particles that dissolve quickly and completely in water without residue. It facilitates improved vaccine preparation and administration, as well as allowing them to be packaged in lightweight, 100 percent recyclable aluminum cups.
